Hide Not!
✍️: Ronald Alagos
I took my pen,
Wrote, the day as to when,
Yet, there it is, came out of its den,
Engulfing me, in its embrace, I felt pain.
Thoughts of disbelief,
They started coming in brief—
Of seconds and minutes, filling me with grief,
Words have become tangled, I started to weep.
It whispers that I should hide,
Never enough, I should just give up,
Yet, I plunged and stood up,
Never will I let, this force to make me feel crap.
Like water and rock,
It instill darkness, pure black,
Flowing all over, it showers me with muck,
Telling me constantly that I suck.
Should I go and hide?
Or, should I take this wheel and start the ride?
Air and fire, both are by my side,
Fighting, who should I abide?
Hurricanes of fate, I hold my future,
I'll reach the sky, no matter how unclear,
Poison of self hate, heart will be in puncture,
Yet, believing is what I hold, until the sky becomes clear.
Hide, I will not!
Day by day I'll grow,
Will reap all of what I sow,
Hear my melody, soon that'll go.

: Hide Not is a poem I made that portrays doubt in one's attempt to achieving his/her goal. It also portrays how a person's decision could affect his/her future. It is simply a poem that has a goal to encourage everybody to pursue their desires/dreams no matter who they are and what level their capabilities are in.
